The patient gets treated by the doctor for his dental emergency

Dental emergency refers to a situation in which the teeth and its supporting tissues require immediate medical attention. A dental emergency is known to cause immense pain and worry, and can often restrain the patients from performing day to day activities, like walking and speaking.

We are open for emergency dental care in Beaverton & Nearby Areas. If you have any dental concerns, we are here to help you get the treatment you need. Please call with any questions.

Dental emergencies range from fractured tooth structure while eating to severe facial trauma. Typical dental emergencies can be diagnosed fairly quickly with x-rays and a clinical assessment. Treatment will range from fillings to extractions based on the severity of the issue. Concurrent therapy will include antibiotics prescribed if the pain is associated with an infection.

If you have experienced severe facial trauma the first call you should make is a medical clinic or hospital. The medical doctor will determine if your cranium and central nervous system, as well as your vertebrae and supporting structures are in normal function. They may take an MRI, CT scan, or conventional x-ray if needed.

  • Broken Or Cracked Tooth – If a tooth breaks or cracks, then the nerve of the tooth gets exposed. An exposed nerve as we know is extremely sensitive to temperature, especially to cold. The immediate effect is intense pain and worry. The diet schedule also gets disrupted.
  • Sudden Tooth Ache – Toothaches are a common dental emergency. It is mainly caused due to the inflammation of the central portion of the teeth, known as pulp. The pulp containing nerve endings is susceptible to pain.
  • Knocked Out Tooth – A knocked out tooth is a result of accident or external injury. A knocked out teeth leave the temperature sensitive nerve exposed, resulting in massive pain and swelling.
  • Loss Of Filling – Fillings are used to cover the cavities of the teeth. Sometimes, the fillings come out due to a decay underneath the service, thereby causing a dental emergency.
  • Intense Bleeding – Bleeding in the mouth is often caused by periodontitis or low platelet count. Whatever the reason is, it must be dealt with immediately by an emergency dentist.
  • Gum Infection – Gum infection, like Abscess, is a major threat to the oral health of the patients. It not only affects the tooth but also the areas around it. An abscess is a serious dental disorder that requires emergency dental care by expert emergency dentist

They're always extremely pleasant and helpful 😀 This last visit their suction tool was wigging out, and they'd apologize when it stopped but had it fixed in like 5 minutes tops. I schedule my appointments during my days off, so I personally wasn't bothered, plus they had it fixed in such a short amount of time I didn't even notice. They're also always upgrading their facility; this time, in a room previously visited, there was a new TV installed on the ceiling to help calm patients' nerves. I also had composite bonding done 2 months ago, and the Doctor + assistants were extremely thorough and did such an amazing job! 10/10 🙂

The dental hygienist I saw was kind, caring, and informative. They walked me through the process every step of the way and didn’t waste any time. I appreciated their professional attitude and attention to detail. Dr. Bradley came up with a strategy for fixing the issues I’m experiencing with my teeth while doing his best to keep costs to a minimum. Their facility is clean and they provide distractions to keep you from focusing too much on the actual work being performed - in my case it had been an extended period of time since having a cleaning. I strongly recommend Pacific Northwest Dental if you’re looking for skilled professionals providing quality care.

The staff is amazing and so nice, they go out of their way to be helpful. The doctor is very prompt, personable and available, takes the time to explain in detail what is going on and solutions without any pressure to do anything you don’t wish to. while there, even though everyone is very busy the entire team makes you feel like you are the only patient in the bldg. this place has all the newest equipment and technology, me and my wife have been going here for a few years and are very satisfied with the quality, care and pricing.

Dentists here are satisfactory but it’s the front desk people that strongly irk me. I advised the front desk person that I had no more benefits for the rest of the year and she told me I did so I stupidly went ahead with the appointment instead of looking at my benefits. As this is partially my fault it is the front office responsibility to advise accurately on where my benefits are at and they were up to date in the portal at the time. Like I said, I admit MY mistake but I don’t appreciate being lied to about my benefits so you can cash in another $1k off me. Anyway, good dentists but the front desk is not to be trusted.
